The annual Prievidza City Festival is always one of the highlights of my trips home to Slovakia, and the 2017 edition was one I won't forget. The Six String Theory Project was formed specifically for this performance, bringing together some of the most respected musicians from the Prievidza area for a set focused on the highly technical instrumental music of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.
It's demanding material that leaves nowhere to hide, and I'm proud of what this group pulled off. Several music critics covering the three-day festival singled out our performance as a standout of the event, which meant a great deal given the level of talent on display throughout the weekend.
